  • Legal do’s and don’ts of job postings
  • What you can and cannot (or shouldn’t) ask at an interview
  • When and how to lawfully conduct and act on pre-employment screening
  • How to use written employment contracts (from simple offer letters to executive employment contracts) to obtain certainty and limit risk
  • When and how to use “independent contractors” to limit liability and cost
  • How to use non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements to protect your business

  • Windows® 7, Vista, XP or 2003 Server
  • Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection
  • Minimum of Pentium® class 1GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM (recommended) (2 GB of RAM for Windows® Vista)

For Mac®-based participants:

  • Safari 3.0 or newer, Firefox® 3.0 or newer or Google Chrome 5.0 or newer (JavaScript and Java enabled)
  • Mac OS® X 10.4.11 – Tiger® or newer
  • PowerPC G4/G5 or Intel processor (512 MB of RAM or better recommended)
  • Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection

Participants wishing to connect to audio using VoIP will need a fast Internet connection, a microphone and speakers. (A USB headset is recommended.)
