AODA Compliance (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act):
AODA Compliance – Don’t Report Failure

By December 31, 2017, employers with at least 50 employees in Ontario, must file a report with the Ministry of Community and Social Services to confirm they are compliant with the Integrated Accessibility Standard Regulation under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (“AODA”), which includes the Employment Standard and the Information & Communication Standard.

Employers across Ontario with at least 20 employees must already be filing annual compliance reports under AODA’s Customer Service Standard.

Fail to report and you may face fines and compliance orders. Report failure and you may face fines and compliance orders.  Even employers too small to be obliged to file reports must ensure compliance with applicable regulations or risk complaints, fines and compliance orders.

Our firm has developed a turn-key suite of services to help organizations quickly and effectively meet their compliance obligations.

  2. We can provide in-house or remote webinar training to your management team, to help you understand the new legislation, what is required of your organization and management’s role in development and implementation of new policies, practices and procedures now required by law.
  3. We can provide in-house or remote, webinar training to your employees and obliged third parties. Through that training we can help you comply with that obligation and roll out your new policy, practices and procedures.
