Broad new duties are to be imposed on employers to deal with workplace violence and harassment. Employers will be faced with some difficult challenges to comply with the new legislation.
This program will review in detail these new duties and give you the guidance and practical tools you will need to make sure your organization is ready to comply with them.
You Will Learn How To:
- Deal with Ministry of Labour Inspectors on workplace violence and harassment issues;
- Interpret and apply the broad new legal definitions of workplace violence and harassment;
- Develop policies and programs to comply with the new legislation;
- Respond to incidents of violence and harassment;
- Assess risks of violence to comply with the new legislation, including domestic violence;
- Meet the new duties to inform employees of threats of workplace violence;
- Handle employees work refusals because of violence or harassment.
