Description:

This is the second instalment in our practical, five-part webinar series, Managing the Employment Lifecycle.  We chart a course from the inception of the employment relationship to its last breath. Our goal is to guide employers along that journey, from sunrise to sunset, stopping along the way to discuss best-practices, legal obligations and common-missteps. We have divided the lifecycle into five concise, comprehensive sessions, designed to help employers step strategically and confidently along each phase of the typical employment relationship.

A significant number of workplace accidents involve new recruits or employees who never received the necessary training and instruction.  The success of any due diligence defence may ultimately hang on the strength of your new employee orientation and training policies and practices.  More than that, no one gets hurt on your watch.

This webinar will run from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the last 15 minutes reserved for Q&A.

In this session, participants will learn:

  • About best practices for OHS orientation for new employees
  • How to address common issues related to temporary agency staff
  • How to identify mandatory safety training within your organization
  • How to create solid documentation to demonstrate your due diligence
  • How to empower and enable your management and supervisory staff
